Calendity = Calendars + Community
I’ve been an organizer with 1 Million Cups (1MC) for years, and involved with the startup & entrepreneur ecosystem for even longer.
While reviewing events from various local entrepreneur support organizations (ESOs), to announce at the next 1MC meeting, it occurred to me that there’s probably a better way to communicate these events to our community members.
Why does this matter?
First, not everyone that should attend a certain community event will be at a meeting where it gets announced.
Second, it’s tedious to go to each website, peruse the events, and determine if it’s worthwhile for you or someone you know.
Finally, we all live by our calendars – so why not just get events onto another calendar so people can prioritize their time?
This is where the idea of community calendar automation started – streamlining events for the community on single, shareable calendars.
This is how Calendity came into existence.
