1 Million Cups + Calendity

Automating your community calendar is a strategy for successful engagement.

We launched the 1 Million Cups Fort Worth community calendar in December, and configured it in Calendity to retrieve events from four area entrepreneur support organizations (ESOs):

When community members subscribe to the Google calendar, they have access to the latest updates on educational programs, meetings, and social events in the Fort Worth community. Better still, they don’t have to browse all of the ESO websites to find this information!

Having a community calendar maintained and up-to-date is in line with the 1MC mission of being the front door of the entrepreneurship community. What better way to get newcomers plugged into your local ecosystem?

With that said, I want to ensure every 1 Million Cups community has a chance to try Calendity with a 1 month trial. How can you take advantage of this offer?

  1. Create a Calendity account with your community 1MC Google account. (Be sure to grant the calendar management permissions.)
  2. Send an email to 1mc@calendity.com with your 1MC Google account, and CC your regional rep.
  3. I’ll configure a 30-day trial of Calendity Pro your account, and confirm you’re ready to upgrade
  4. Once you receive the confirmation, upgrade your plan to Calendity Pro. You’ll see the 30-day trial.
  5. You will still need to provide a payment method for after the trial.
  6. Create your calendar, add up to 5 ESO event websites, and share it with your community!
  7. If your community members subscribe and find value, Calendity provides a way for the community to sponsor your account. Look for the Sponsor button on the public community calendar page in the bottom right corner.
  8. If Calendity is not the right option for your community, send an email to 1mc@calendity.com and we’ll cancel the upgrade, no harm/no foul.

Why am I offering this to 1MC chapters nationwide? I love what this platform brings to the community, and how it equips new entrepreneurs to conquer challenges they face. I believe Calendity can help each community reach and reinforce community members, as they look for opportunities to learn and grow.
